Premier Custom-Built offers an extraordinary array of the finest finishes and the collection grows constantly. This section is a visual reference to our more popular finish families and their components. It is not a color guide. Rather, it shows what happens to wood grain or color with applied techniques alone or in various combinations. It will also familiarize you with common terms.

We show an excellent and versatile range of effects, but it is not intended to show every possibility. If your project requires something other than what you can attain with these techniques, please let us know. We will gladly work with you to develop the best solution.

Final topcoats
The durability of any finish rests in its final topcoat. Our traditional finishes are top coated with an industrial grade, water clear, catalyzed varnish. Our contemporary finishes are top coated with a water clear acrylic urethane. Both coatings are resistant to moisture, abrasion, and most household chemicals. These coatings will remain clear and resist yellowing due to sunlight (UV) and will provide, with reasonable care and proper cleaning, the very best protection for the life of our product.
